Vista Utility Box

Painting a utility box had been on my bucket list for as long as I could remember. In 2020 I figured, why not? So I went online and submitted an application to my city. The theme for the boxes in my area was “in bloom”, so I decided to paint leaves, bumblebees, and daisies around the whole thing. If you’re ever in North County San Diego and want to drive by my mini mural, it’s outside the Stater Brothers in Vista: 1451 N Santa Fe Ave, Vista, CA 92084.

UPDATE: In 2022, I went back to give my utility box a refresh, and paint a new design on a smaller portion that the city had added onto the back. Someone on Instagram suggested I do a color-block situation, and I said say less! Thankfully the main part of the box had minor scuffing, and it was easy to clean and update!
