Teeny Tiny Art Mart 2024

The Oceanside Museum of Art’s annual Teeny Tiny Art Mart is back! For this one, I painted three tiny canvases based on photos that I’d taken sometime during 2023. The bananas come from a trip I took to Spain for an artist’s retreat. The flowers came from my partner, who picked them off the side of the road and put them in their to-go coffee cup. The third is a sign outside of a bowling place my family and I have been to a couple of times. It’s located in Oceanside and I like the idea of including something local.

My dad AKA prep artist made these 5” x 5” canvas frames for me, and they came out so good! All donated artwork for the annual Teeny Tiny Art Mart was available for $25 and 100% of the proceeds helped support OMA’s education initiatives that provide thousands of students annually with transformative arts-based experiences. This year, select works will be included in an auction. As of writing this post, that information hasn’t been made available. Artworks can be previewed here; the virtual sale starts February 18!

Here’s what the museum has to say about the event:More than 1,600 donated Teeny Tiny artworks will be for sale at the Teeny Tiny Art Mart with 100% of the proceeds supporting OMA’s education initiatives that provide thousands of students annually with transformative arts-based experiences. It's time to make a big impact, one teeny tiny artwork at a time!
