A Beach-Themed Nursery for my Niece

As I’m writing this, I don’t know anything about my niece except what day she’ll (probably) be born. I do know that she is surrounded by love and I can’t wait to make her my little bestie! Onto the mural - I painted this in her nursery with muted red tones that fade downwards into the ocean. The elements (palm trees, cacti, and buildings) all represent locations special to my sister and brother-in-law. Altogether this mural shows the story of them growing up in the desert, frequenting the Northern Peninsula of Michigan, where they got married, and now living in San Diego. I love the way this mural looks in the morning light, and I hope my baby niece loves growing up in this room.
